On Saturday, September 24, I took a trip down to Galloway, New Jersey for a reunion of sorts with the main people who dedicated themselves to the fight for the freedom of Farouk Abdel-Muhti (a two-year struggle retold in the documentary Enemy Alien).

This year, Easter was a powerful metaphor for the anniversary we celebrated on the same day last Sunday. April 12 was also a turning point in Farouk's struggle, one which could well be described as a man who laid down his life for others emerging from a tomb.

Last week, with some further coaching from Michael Kuzma (member of Leonard Peltier's defense team), I wrote and faxed in my Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) appeal asking a judge to order the FBI to release the 893 pages of Farouk's file they're withholding.
Early in the morning of Friday April 11th IDF troops invaded the home of the AbuMaria family and arrested Mousa AbuMaria. Mousa is a well known nonviolent activist and a co-founder of the Palestinian Solidarity Project.
