This documentary features young, outspoken Asian American activists of NAKASEC on a 1,700-mile immigrant rights campaign on bicycles, offering an intimate look at the heritage, history, and political awareness that drives them. These emerging, outspoken young activist leaders challenge the “model minority” myth and the overshadowing of undocumented Asian Americans in the national immigration movement.
Delving into their formative childhood experiences, we discover the moments and realizations that bond them with their parents and siblings in the generational struggle against exclusion and poverty. Rather than proclaiming their innocence as children brought to the U.S. by their parents, they are pushing the national conversation beyond DACA, demanding a path to citizenship for all out-of-status immigrants.
